Meet Our Instructors

Hailey
Owner/Instructor
Hailey began her pole journey in 2015. When the opportunity to own the studio presented itself one year later, she partnered with Penny to create Studio X Vertical Fitness. In 2016, she trained with PoleMoves (now Pole Fitness Alliance) in Los Angeles, California for pole instructor certification Levels 1-3. In August of 2019, she became a Master Trainer for PFA Pole Fitness Alliance to train and certify instructors. She also holds an AFAA group fitness certification. She has competed in the PSO Pole Sport Organization's Northeast Championship Level 4 competition in 2017 and 2018. She is also creator of Pixie Potion grips.
Penny
Owner/Instructor
Penny fell in love with pole fitness in 2014 and had always wanted to own her own fitness studio. She decided to partner with Hailey in 2016 to keep her pole journey alive and create Studio X Vertical Fitness. She also began our lyra (aerial hoop) program in 2021. She has a group fitness certification.


Nicole
Instructor
Nicole lives in Waterville with her daughter and puggle. She has a dance background and a group fitness certification. Her interest in poling started in April 2015 and she has been in love with it ever since. She teaches beginner pole, strength and conditioning, and liquid motion. She competed in the Pole Sport Organization's Northeast Championship Level 2 Competition in 2018 and Level 3 in 2021.
Sarah
Instructor
Sarah took her first pole class in the spring of 2015 and never looked back. She is passionate about fitness, with a background in dance and yoga, and enjoys exploring new styles of movement. Sarah lives in Clinton with her two children (she poled through both pregnancies!), two dogs, and two cats. She holds a Pole Fitness Alliance certification for level 1 and a group fitness certification. She teaches beginner pole class.


Julia
Instructor
Julia was born and raised in Maine and has been dancing her whole life and began her pole journey with us the summer of 2017 and has since become her biggest passion. She is a certified level 3/4 Xpert fitness instructor and holds a group fitness certification. She teaches beginner pole, intro to intermediate pole, and ground lyra. She also hosts heels choreography workshops.
Abigail
Instructor
Abby currently resides in the quiet town of Union with her three cats: Shadow, Whiskey, and Smudge. Her pole journey began in 2018, when she took a class on a whim and fell in love. Abby teaches beginner pole and has a group fitness certification.


Megan
Instructor
Megan resides in Fairfield with her husband, two dogs, and two cats. She started her pole journey in November 2019 and immediately became obsessed. In September 2021, she became a ground lyra and level 2 lyra instructor. She also teaches beginner pole. She holds a Pole Fitness Alliance certification for level 1 and group fitness certification. She competed in the Pole Sport Organization's Northeast Championship Level 2 Competition in 2021.
